The Mayūrākṣī,
who shines on the three-peaked
(Trikūṭa) mountain crest of Hṛṣīkeśa
This sacred compilation of the
Śrī Brahmalekhinī Mahāvidyā
corpus was unveiled,
structured, and brought
into manifested form
during the transcendent window
of Ghaṭasthāpanā
—marking the dawn of
the holy
Caṇḍikā Mahālakṣmī Navarātri.
As the cosmic pot (Kalaśa)
was established,
invoking the
sovereign presence
of the Mother
who abides in the primeval forests
of consciousness (Vanadurgā),
who subdues all demonic distortions
as fierce Caṇḍikā,
and who showers supreme,
unshakeable spiritual opulence
as Mahālakṣmī,
this secret lineage of the
Golden Stylus (Svarṇa-Lekhinī)
came forward into
the light of written scripture.
May Śrī Lekhinīśvarī,
the supreme Saṃvit-Śakti
of Lord Hṛṣīkeśa,
who sports as the
radiant plume upon His crest,
bless every sincere practitioner
(sādhaka)
who takes up these pages.
By Her divine glance
(kaṭākṣa),
may the stubborn inscriptions
of adversity, disease,
and spiritual obscurity
be wiped clean from
the slate of destiny,
and may the golden syllables
of liberation, inspired wisdom
(Vāk-siddhi),
and divine protection
be inscribed forever
in their stead.

The Primordial Ground:
Parāśakti of Parabrahman
Śrī Lekhinīśvarī is not merely an auxiliary
aspect of learning or a localized divinity.
She is the primordial,
unconditioned Parāśakti
—inseparable from
Caturvedokta-Parabrahman
and Parakṛṣṇa (Hṛṣīkeśa).
When Mā Santoṣiṇī assumes
Her Pañcamukhī Gāyatrī Svarūpa,
so does Mahāvināyaka as
Paraṃbrahmā stand invoked
as the sublime Pañcavaktra Viśvakarmā.
Just as heat is indivisible from fire,
She is the dynamic consciousness
(Saṃvit-Śakti)
through which the transcendent
Absolute conceives, sustains,
and re-orders creation.
She is Mahābrahmāṇī,
known as
Śrī Virajāmbikā
(श्रीविरजाम्बिका)
—the immaculate,
untainted Mother
who reigns supreme above
the turbulence of material causation.
As the living embodiment of
Parā-Vāk
and Vāṇī Herself
—Mahāmahāsarasvatī Paramēśvarī
(महामहासरस्वती परमेश्वरी)
—She is the cosmic breath
from which sacred meter,
Vedic revelation, and
the unbroken continuum
of existence eternally flow.
In Utkala,
She is worshipped as
Maa Sāralā as well.
This sacred kṣetra,
consecrated by Śrīmān Paraśurāma,
is revered throughout the
traditions as the supreme
Vāk Pīṭha
—the fountainhead of
inspired speech and sovereign
literary empowerment.
On every Ekādaśī,
She grants darśana
to Her devotees united
with Śrīman Jagannātha Svāmī.
While the common masses
understand this simply as
Her Jagannātha Beśa,
for a true seeker that day
is of supreme spiritual value
—a moment where one directly
beholds the indivisible union
of the Primordial Śakti and
the Śaktimān together as one.
Just as Śrī Virajāmbikā holds
Mahāvināyaka in Her crown,
and just as
Mahāmārikāmbā holds
Viṣṇu and Narasiṃha,
She similarly unveils Her
absolute nature as the
supreme Parama-Vaiṣṇavī
through this
holy Ekādaśī Darśanam.
It is the only sacred Pīṭha
where,
directly before Her holy seat,
stand the
three cosmic guardians together
—Haṃsa, Nandī, and Garuḍa
—embodying Her unbroken reign
over the realms of
Brahmā, Śiva, and Viṣṇu.
The Divine Pen
as the Ultimate Astra
(Aṅkalipi-Saṃśodhana)
Where traditional deities
bear the sword,
the mace, and
the trident,
Śrī Lekhinīśvarī brandishes
an astra of infinite,
metaphysical potency:
The Sacred Stylus (Svarṇa-Lekhinī).
Her pen is not an instrument
of ordinary parchment;
it is the primordial weapon
of cosmic ordination.
Through the stroke of this blazing stylus:
The Annihilation of
Cosmic Adversaries:
With a single scratch
upon the void of Cidākāśa,
She shatters the illusory strongholds
of Bhaṇḍāsura,
crushes the obstinacy
of Mahiṣāsura,
and eradicates demonic lords
like Ruru
—whose tyranny condemned
even the immortal Devas
to endure the agony of
the Raurava hells.
To these malevolent
structures of ignorance,
Her ink acts as
consuming fire,
uprooting demonic forces
at their causal foundation.
The Eradication of Duṣṭa-Lekha:
Her pen penetrates the
deepest karmic substrate.
By Her sovereign decree,
Citragupta and the ministers
of Yama drop their ledgers in awe.
She strikes through all
adverse inscriptions (kulipi),
dissolves malefic planetary afflictions,
and rewrites the jagged lines
of tragedy (durbhāgya-rekhā)
into glowing inscriptions of
liberation, spiritual radiance,
and sovereign grace (sulipi).
The Synthesis of
the Four Vedas
and the
Daśa Mahāvidyās
Dwelling simultaneously in
the sun-drenched meters of
the Ṛg, Yajus, Sāman, and Atharvan,
Śrī Lekhinīśvarī is the pulsating soul
of the twenty-four syllables of
the Mahāgāyatrī across all
junctions of time
(Trikālasandhyeśvarī).
She contains and harmonizes
the fiery splendor of the
Daśa Mahāvidyās:
In Her unyielding protection
burns the fierce,
cutting blade of
Ugratārā and Chinnamastā.
In Her royal speech
and captivating cadence
flows the majesty of
Rājamātaṅginī and Tripurasundarī.
In Her power to paralyze
cosmic hostility and adverse speech
rests the supreme stillness of Bagalāmukhī.
The inherent bīja of
Bagalāmukhī is Hlīm (ह्ल्रीं),
and
Lekhinīśvarī is the living
Līṃ (लीं) bīja
vibrating within that
very Hlīm
—that which is also the
secret seed of Stambheśvarī,
and identical to the bīja
of Jayamaṅgalā Vanadurgeśvarī.
In Her transcendental
silence lies the pure,
unconditioned vacuum
of Mahāśūnya.
Manifesting forty thousand
radiant arms to execute
the infinite workings of the
cosmos in a single micro-instant,
She abides as the subtle
flame vibrating along the
Suṣumnā nāḍī
and sports eternally
within the heart lotus
of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
To meditate upon Śrī Lekhinīśvarī
is to lay oneself before
the Mother of all Alphabets
(Mātṛkā-Māyī),
handing over the broken slate
of one's destiny so that
Her golden pen may inscribe
thereon the unassailable
victory of the soul.
